To complement the business plan developed in 2015 by R.A. Wiedemann & Associates, the firm was selected to develop an MRO business and marketing plan for Westover Metropolitan Airport, a joint-use civilian-military base.
The work effort involved the development of a strategy and collateral materials needed to expose the Airport and its management to the MRO industry.
As a result, RAWA developed a video and brochures to equip Airport representatives for the annual MRO conference in Orlando, FL. In addition, the study generated a listing of MRO providers in the New England service area, broken down by location and employment. The material identified companies, their addresses, and the number of certified mechanics, non-certified mechanics, and repairmen.
There were a total of 160 firms in this list which were slated to be contacted. In addition, the work effort provided contacts with economic development organizations, funding sources, and other significant MRO development in the New England region.
