R.A. Wiedemann & Associates, Inc., was selected to perform a Business Plan for Cape May County Airport in 2008. The Business Plan addressed the following key issues:
- The Airport’s ability to provide air transportation for the local tourism industry
- Its competitive setting
- The benefits and costs of attracting corporate aviation
- The potential benefits of the Airport Museum and the WWII heritage of the Airport
- The potential for additional hangar development
- The use of an FBO for supplemental airport management
- Working with the county government to enhance economic development through airport properties and services
- Rates and charges structures including fuel flowage fees
- The potential advantages of extending the runway to over 5,000 feet
