R.A. Wiedemann & Associates, Inc. was selected to perform a business plan for Chautauqua County-Jamestown Airport (JHW). The plan was founded on an understanding of current activities at the Airport and set forth options to address a number of key areas.
Areas of interest included the desire to increase the number of EAS passenger enplanements, to expand the revenue base, to develop a blueprint for moving into the future, and to take advantage of the connection between local business/industrial development and aviation.
The Airport desired financial self-sufficiency in the long term and thus needed to review its policies set for Airport development, air service retention, and business attraction. Additionally, the Airport meeded tp keep its existing clientele and examine the costs and alternatives for a longer runway length to support continued growth.
The business plan examined the feasibility of expanding the runway, constructing hangars, branding and marketing its services, and strengthening the business platform.
